We’re delighted to announce that DataCentred have been confirmed as an approved supplier on G-Cloud 9, the latest framework under the Digital Marketplace for UK public sector organisations to buy cloud services in a transparent, standardised and flexible manner.
We’ve been providing cloud services on successive G-Cloud frameworks since 2013, and now offer public, private and hybrid cloud infrastructure as well as expert technical and project resources to support our clients’ digital projects. These are used to underpin critical services provided by the UK Government, which is a responsibility that we are both proud of and take extremely seriously.
As has been the case since our inception, we continue to build our services using open source technologies, with OpenStack and Ceph at the heart of our compute and storage platforms. Customers deploying on our fully interoperable cloud services have the confidence of knowing that they will not be subject to proprietary interfaces or to vendor lock-in.
Our platform has been built from the ground up using in-house expertise and a deep understanding of the software and systems in use. However, at DataCentred we don’t think that just providing technically competent service provision is enough anymore, and in a rapidly evolving world of micro-services, service abstraction, automation and multi-cloud architectures, our customers need a cloud service provider that understands not only how their platforms run, but how they are used.
As a team of digital natives, all of our services have been designed using the same methodologies and many of the same tools that teams working to transform digital services across the UK public sector also use. We excel when helping our users to diagnose issues related to complex and automated configuration and deployment, and are never happier than when collaborating with fellow DevOps practitioners to fix a thorny problem.
